Where We Started
Started by the D’Aquino brothers, Frank and John, alongside Joe Di Natale, Rock Posters printed their first poster at their Fitzroy premises in 1986. They worked tirelessly to keep up with the demands of promoters and record labels alike. Nowadays whilst street media continues to thrive, Rock Posters has expanded and adapted to a diversified client base and a very different commercial environment.
The Rock Poster’s founders had an unswerving belief in the value of posters. They focused on coupling the most creative and vibrant and street media possible and installing them at the most impactful sites. They promised and delivered on what was and still is one of the most cost effective forms of advertising .
Now with over three decades of operations and servicing industries beyond their music industry roots, Rock Posters has built an Australia-wide street media distribution network.
Australian Owned And Independent
Rock Posters remain a proudly Australian-owned, independent company, with printing facilities and offices in Sydney and Melbourne.
Rock Posters was founded due to the need for agents, producers, record labels, promoters and performers to heighten awareness quickly and cost-effectively.
Following expansionary moves to North Melbourne, Brunswick and the current Melbourne base in Thornbury, production and quality continued to improve. A new branch complete with print factory commenced operations in Marrickville, Sydney. Mike Akers, veteran street poster legend, driving the development and innovation of the Sydney business for more than a decade.
The Sydney operation has helped solidify the Rock Posters footprint both in NSW and nationally and continues to work seamlessly with distributors Australia-wide.
